VIOLET DAY

hahahahaha! I tried a new hair style using my temporary hair colors which I bought during my vacation in Hamburg, Germany.

I curled my hair and applied some violet and pink colors and set everything with a hairspray.. and this is the result:

so cute!

I went to Uni with this look and everyone appreciated it. They asked me how I did my hair.

We had a choir practise for the coming Christmas Mass at our Uni and I was chosen to lead the choir.
After the practice we started the classes.

my sister bought me these yummy candies :Q_

After my classes, I called my boyfriend and asked him if we wanted to take a walk with me. So we went to Ottaviano and walked by St. Peter's basilica. We decided to eat at our favourite Chinese restaurant.

Make a Change!

Today was a very productive day. Our community started to collect old clothes, canned goods and medicines for our kababayans who were devastated by the Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan). Most of the members of our community are from Samar.

Many of us donated clothes and some doctors donated also medicines, nutritional supplements and powdered milk for children but since all the medicines are written in italian, we (the youth ministry) decided to translate all of them and label them.

M.A.C. "Techniques" Workshop

A week ago, I made a reservation for a makeup workshop hosted by M.A.C at COIN of Via Cola di Rienzo and I was on the 3rd batch because they started the workshop on Monday.

I went to McDonald's for breakfast because I wanted to try the EggMcMuffin and it was very early (the workshop will start at 11pm and I was at Ottaviano at 8.30am).
So I got myself an EggMcMuffin and a LatteMacchiato. OMG! It was totally DELICIOUS! *_*

so yummy!!!!!!!!

Then I walked throught Via Ottaviano and Cola di Rienzo and at the same time looking at the shops. It was a very nice day, not too cold, not too hot. I arrived very early at COIN so I stayed outside and chat with Giorgia on Viber. I told her I was very excited but at the same time very nervous. She assured me that everything will be fine and I'll enjoy it. So I took a picture of the setting of the venue and sent it to her.

There were only 5 students and each student has her own mirror, face chart and brush set. There were 5 M.A.C. staffs: Michele (our facilitator), Roberta, Annalisa, Arianna (who helped us as we apply our makeup) and the other guy who I forgot the name. The name of the model is Marzia. Michele started with an intro about M.A.C. and its aim. Then all the students introduced themselves. I was the youngest among the students. hahahaha xD
Then he explained us how to take care of our face. We have to remove any makeup on our face before sleeping and use certain products to nourish our skin. So before the demonstration started, we took of any makeup on our face and proceeded on making a "perfect canvas" for the makeup.

The list of the products that we used:
- Fix+
- Mineralize Charged Water Face and Body lotion
- Mineralize Charged Water Eyecream
- Prep + Prime Natural Radiance + Studio Sculp foundation + Face and Body foundation
- Studio Sculp concealer
- Mineralize Skinfinish
- Paintpot (Soft Ochre)
- Blush (Harmony)
- Strobe liquid
- Powerpoint Eye Pencil (Prussian)
- Masat Al Lail: Eyeshadow x 4 (Rondelle, Waft, Gentle Fume, Carbon)
- Haute & Naughty Too Black lash
- Prep + Prime Lip
- Lip Pencil (Burgundy)
- Lipstick (Russian Red)

They helped us and give some techniques on how to apply makeup correctly with brushes. At the end of the workshop we were able to buy the products that we liked the most.

I bought: Brow Set (Beguile), Paintpot (Soft Ochre), Blush (Harmony) and some sponges.

I wasn't able to take photos during the workshop because the space was very small and Michele was very fast in explaining the procedures.

After the workshop, I decided to go to Studio13 (at Piazza Cavour) and buy the Ben Nye Luxury Powder (Banana) and the Evian Spray.

Once I got home, I took some pictures of my makeup. The lipstick faded because I ate lunch.

I'm really impressed that I used a lot of products but the makeup looks so natural. <3

My everyday makeup

I want to share to you how I do my everyday makeup which I mainly wear when I go to the Uni.

The products that I use:
- RoC Complete Lift daily moisturizer
- Essence "Stay all day" foundation in 10 Soft Beige
- Garnier BBcream in Light/Clair
- L'Oréal Cover Expert concealer quad.
- Avon Colortrend pressed powder in Translucent Tan
- Essence brow pencil in Dark Brown
- BH Cosmetics 28 Color palette neutral eyeshadow
- Kiko "definition eyeliner" in Black
- Catrice "All around" mascara in Ultra Black
- Sephora eye pencil in White
- Avon face pearls

I prepare my face by moisturizing it then I mix the foundation and the bbcream and apply it on my face using a wet triangular sponge. I conceal my dark circles, acne scars and blemishes with the concealer and I seal all by applying a translucent powder with a face brush.

I fill in my brows with small strokes by using the dark brown brow pencil following their natural shape. Then I procede to the eye makeup.

With a fluffy eyeshadow brush, I apply a wash of brown color (number 1) on my crease area. This will act as the transition color. Then I place a lighter brown (number 2) over the dark brown just on the border for a gradient effect. I apply a beige color (number 3) on the eyelid area and on the brow bone blending it to the other colors that I applied before. And lastly, I apply a black eyeshadow (number 4) with a pencil brush concentrating it on the crease just to give my eyes some depth. I also apply the dark brown eyeshadow on my lower lashline.

I line just the upper part of my eye with a liquid eyeliner trying to stay as closest to my lashline then I curl my lashes and apply a black mascara. I line my waterline with a white pencil just to open my eyes.

I use the dark brown eyeshadow to contour my face and the face pearls to give some glow to my skin.

I use lipbalms instead of lipstick. I'm not a fan of lipsticks xD but if I have to, I use baby pink color lipsticks.

affordable makeup HAUL

I went to Upim last saturday to buy a bronzing powder and a finishing powder. I've been using the bronzer of my Sephora makeup palette and I really don't like its satin finish so I decided to buy a matte one. I asked my boyfriend to come with me and help me to buy it.

We went to the Essence stand and I started to pick everything I like and my boyfriend told me to get only what I really need the most (kung hindi nya ako pinagsabihan, malamang ubos agad pera ko). At the end I got only two products from Essence: the "Sun Club" matt bronzing powder and the "All about matt!" fixing loose powder.

4.39 euro

Actually this bronzer is for blondes/lighter skin and the darker one wasn't available so I bought this. The shade is in "01 Natural" and it is a matt bronzing powder for a naturally sunkissed tan perfect for lighter skin types. It contains 0.52oz/15g of product and Its VERY big! Like the palm of my hand or even more. The packaging is made of plastic and it's transparent so you can see the product inside. The ingredients is written at the back. When you open it you can see a silhouette of two girls. It has a pleasant coconut fragrance.

4.29 euro

This is a WOW product and I really love it! It's a translucent powder good for a matt finish. It says what it does! It contains 0.38oz/11g of product. It's a fixing loose powder for a matt and natural finish all day long. It also helps to blend blush and foundation colors together, fixes makeup when applied as finishing powder and suitable for all skin tones. It's super mild and blendable and you don't need a lot of product.

I was about to pay when I saw the Maybelline "Baby Lips". I heard positive comments and reviews about this product and I really wanted to try them so I picked one lip balm but the saleslady told me that if I get two I would have a free gift: a bracelet.

2.99 euro each

I've got only two: Peach kiss and Cherry me. I'm planning to get the other colors :) I haven't tried them yet because I still have my Labello lip balm.

productive SATURDAY :)

Waaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!!!!! thank God I don't have classes so I stayed longer on my bed.
I had bread and eggs for breakfast then me and my sister started cleaning the house. Done cleaning, I went to my Luigi's house. His mom has been in the Philippines 'cause her mom (Luigi's lola) just passed away. :'(
Anyways... he asked me if I want to get some "pasalubongs".

I arrived there around 2pm. I greeted Tita and told her "welcome back po!". I ate some munchkins from Dunkin' Donuts, graham balls and pastillas.

munchkins

mik-mik, suman, kalamay, etc.

I asked Luigi if he would like to go out and come with me to Urbana for the meeting about tomorrow's event. Before going to Urbana, we went to Upim and bought some makeup. I really want to get all those stuff but I didn't have enough money with me. hahahaha! So I ended up on buying those I really needed the most.

Essence "Sun Club" bronzer, Maybelline "Baby Lips", Maybelline bracelet, Essence "All about matt!" fixing loose powder.
(I'll be doing a separate blogpost for these)

Since we still have 15mins, we stopped by a bookshop and looked around.
We arrived at Urbana and we saw the debutant and her friends practicing the Cotillion dance for tomorrow. Direk Armand gave me the script and I started to read. It was very exhaustive and detailed. I've also noticed that the songs for Argie's debut are mainly J-pop and K-pop songs. (super original talaga!)

After the practice, we started the meeting. Direk Armand showed and explained to us the flow of the program. I'm pretty confident that the event will be successful! He also told me that I have to speak in italian so that italian guests will understand the program.

As we finished the meeting, Argie's mom told me to go early to their house for Argie's makeup. I will be doing also her friend's makeup.

Since me and Luigi were really hungry, we decided to eat at Burger King at via Nazionale. He said that finally nakalabas na rin daw kami ng gabi (it was already dark thought it was only 6pm) matagal na rin daw kami hindi nakakapunta sa centro. We went to BK by foot therefore we enjoyed our promenade.
We ordered 2 Chicken Royale, 2 medium fries and 1 iced tea and we had free ketchup because the guy who asked our order was a filipino xD I had really fun today. As long as I'm with him masaya na ako.

si Dadeeh naninibago sa fries. Ang kapal at ang haba daw! xD

PS: I learned a new word.... SEMPUKI! wahahahaha xD

I'm so excited! (makeup gig, emcee and M.A.C. seminar)

Lots of blessings are coming to me recently. I'm so overwhelmed and thankful for everything that is happening in my life.

Few days ago I received a call from Argie's mom asking me if I'm willing to host Argie's debut and also do her makeup for that day. I was really happy about it! Her mom is such a sweet person. The debut will be this Sunday and tomorrow I'll be meeting the organizer (Direk Armand) to discuss about the dynamics and flow of the program. I'm happy 'cause kuya Jayson will be my co-host and this will be the 5th time that we'll hosting an event together. I already have an idea for Argie's makeup. Sabi niya, kahit hindi na daw kami magpractise ng pagme-makeup before the event ay ok na kasi magaling naman daw ako. (So sweet!) Hope she'll like it ♥. I'll definitely blog about her preparation and the debut in general.

On Wednesday, I'll be attending a makeup seminar/workshop by M.A.C. 。◕‿◕。
I was really happy and honored that they sent me an invitation. I've never been in a makeup workshop yet and I'm pretty excited about this thought I'm a bit nervous because I don't know the girls who will be with me at the seminar. I'm sure I'll learn a lot of things and makeup tips which I can share with my friends. I'll also be able to buy some M.A.C products for myself but I don't have no idea what to buy.
I'll blog about it as well. :)

Wednesday 6 November 2013

Wonderful Wednesday

I woke up late this morning and I thought "I don't wanna go to the university today" so I texted Giorgia and told her that I wouldn't attend the morning classes. She texted me back telling me to attend atleast the 11am class. I couldn't say "no" to her so I prepared myself, took a shower and prepare a big tumbler of coffee.

At 10am I received a text message from MAC about a makeup seminar/workshop that they will be having on November 11 to November 14 at MAC COIN at Via Cola di Rienzo. I was excited about it and I thought that it would be a great experience. Sadly I don't have 60euro for the fee.

I arrived at the class and shared the news to Giorgia and Verdiana 'cause I thought they would be interested (specially Giorgia since she loves makeup). They told me to participate the seminary so that I can share to them what will I learn. So we went out the classroom and called the store for inquiries. I was really nervous about it so I ask Giorgia if she could speak and ask questions for me. The lady said that there were only few reservations and we had to reserve a slot immediately if we were really interested in joining the seminar. I told Giorgia that I didn't have money for the registration and maybe I'll participate the next seminar that they will have but the girls were pushing me to join since it was a good opportunity to learn about makeup artistry. Giorgia and Verdiana lend me 20euro each for the sake of that workshop. I was really embarrassed 'cause they were lending me their money and I'm not used to it. Napakabaet talaga nila!!!! :')

I decided to go to the COIN to reserved a slot. We went to the MAC counter and ask the salesman. The workshop will be about basic makeup application. I made my reservation for Wednesday Nov. 13 (11:30 to 12:30) then we went to the cashier to pay the 60euro fee that turned out into a gift card worth 60euro which I can use to buy MAC products after the seminary. Awesome!
Giorgia lend me those 60euro and I thanked her and promised that I'll give it back to her soon.
She's the sweetest and kindest friend ever! *_*
