How I spent my Halloween

I went to my morning classes. We only had 2 hours but we had to stay in the room for another 2 hours although we didn't have lessons (the professor wasn't able to come). It was the 1st day for Clinical Psychology and the lesson was pretty interesting. Giorgia was complaining 'coz she hadn't had breakfast yet, me as well. So we decided to go to Ottaviano and have some "cornetto" (croissant) at the bakery "Dolce Maniera" and some bubble tea at "BubbleMe".

There were many people inside. We noticed that there were some Halloween theme cookies, cupcakes and cakes! Super cute!!! So Giorgia asked me if we could buy cookies and cupcakes instead of croissants. We bought 2 cupcakes and 2 pumpkin cookies but they were too pricey :( 3euro each cupcake and 2euro each cookie.

However, we thought that Halloween only happens once a year so it was ok to spend a little more.

Then we walked throught Via Ottaviano, Piazza Risorgimento and decided to take photos of our sweets at BubbleMe.

Fortunately that day there was Alfredo, the owner of BubbleMe. He remembered me and asked if I'm ok now. (the last time Giorgia went to BubbleMe with Giulia and Verdiana, I wasn't able to come because I was ill and Alfredo sent me a message on Facebook telling me to get well soon).

We started to talk and laugh. He's really a funny person :D then we ordered the large glass of bubble tea and he gave us discount since we are one of his habitual customers.

I had a mango flavoured green tea with lychee bubbles and jelly mix while Giorgia had a melon flavoured green tea with melon bubbles and jelly mix.

Then we took photos of our "halloween nummies".

I didn't finished eating the cookie 'coz it was too sweet and when I finished eating the cupcake I started feeling sick. Too much sugar!!!!! hahahaha! So I decided to bring it home and give it to my little brother who enjoyed eating it.

Since I'm not that type of person who loves nightlife, I stayed at home and watch horror film on MTV: Jack the Ripper and Saw. I didn't finished watching Saw 'coz I was too tired and the only thing I wanted to do was to go to bed and sleep. xD

That was my Halloween this year :) hahahaha!

Best University buddies ever!

Yesterday night I wasn't able to blog because I came home very late (since I had classes in the afternoon).

By the way, I started my monday morning with an inspiring quote that I post on my Instagram & a cup of lemon tea with honey and two spanish rolls which were given by our neighbour tita Weng and tito Jun.

 

I started to workout just to finally get rid of all those fats (hahaha xD). Two days ago I started with 20 squats a day and yesterday I did 30 squats. OMG! my tights were on FIRE!!!!! Then I did some leg raises, crunches and cobra push ups. After that simple work out I started cleaning the house (just the first floor: living room, kitchen and my room).

I had lunch at around noon and then I started to prepare myself.

I look like a rocker with this look. hahahaha! xD

I was waiting the bus when I heard someone calling my name. It was my classmate Linda. She was in the car with Adriana and they gave me a lift. :) I was so happy because I thought I would be late.

Adriana gave me a simple "present": a red bow bangle. She remember that I had the same style of earings that's why she gave it to me. I was really happy! <3 I didn't expect to recieve anything that day.

But it wasn't the only present of the day. Giorgia has been to Perugia for the EuroChocolate and took me a souvenir from the event: a pack of Lindt "Lindor" caramel chocolates. They really made my day! :')

I have the BEST UNIVERSITY FRIENDS EVER! :) I love them <3 <3 <3

45 months of LOVE!

Creepers!

Sono andata a fare shopping a Porta di Roma una settimana fa. Da un po' di tempo mi sono fissata a questo tipo di scarpe. :)

E il mio secondo paio di scarpe (di questo tipo).

Non è una novità: anzi queste scarpe esistevano già negli anni Quaranta. Dopo la Seconda Guerra Mondiale i soldati londinese ritornarono nella loro patria. Poiché i soldati si sentivano spaesati, quasi "turisti" nel proprio paese, non volevano certo restare inosservati. Era un periodo in cui la moda era molto limitata dalla mancanza di materie prime.

Per i soldati le scarpe erano state le sole ed uniche compagne d'avventura perciò erano veramente una fresca folata di novità per i londinesi. Presero il nome di "Brothel Creeper".

Hanno la suola di gomma molto alta ed un particolare tipo di allacciatura (fibia o lacci a quattro anelli).

Nel 1945 George Cox le introdusse nel mercato con il nome "Hamilton".

Inizialmente le creepers erano in diverse tonalità di blu, dal pastello all'elettrico, scamosciate o di cuoio lucido e solo successivamente vennero declinate nelle piú stravaganti fantasie.

Le marche più conosciute sono sicuramente "T.U.K" ed "Underground". Ma se non volete spendere tanto, potete fare come me che ho comprato un paio di colore beige con brillantini e spikes a Primadonna e queste nere ad OVS.

First day of lessons

Yes! 3rd and last year na! Muntik pa ma-late. Hindi kasi ako makapag-decide kung ano ang susuutin ko. 2:30 pm yung start ng lessons pero 1:45 pm nasa bus stop pa ako. Buti nalang nakarating ako sa class before tawagin yung name ko for the attendance. Haha xD

4hours lang ang lesson today. "Assistenza Psichiatrica". Parang Philosophy lang pero interesting naman. Syempre masaya ako kahit papaano kasi katabi ko sa desk yung mga university buddies ko: Giorgia, Verdiana & Cristofer :)

After ng lessons, pumunta ako sa BubbleMe kasama sila Cristofer, Giorgia and Giulia. Finally nakatikim na rin ako ng frozen yogurt. Bumili ako ng jasmine tea with milk... So yummy <3 at nagpicture-picture kami...
Tinawagan ko si Luigi (bf) ko kasi palabas na sya sa work. Ang naisip ko baka pwede magsabay kami sa pag-uwi. Hinintay niya ako sa labas ng metro at may hawak siya na Nova :)

Pauwi na ako ngayon... OMG ang trapik! Nakakainis pa tong mga lalaki na nasa likod ko... Subukan nilang ulitin yun ginawa nila... Makakatikim sila ng pepper spray!

Secrets & Dreams Amigurumissimi e il suo primo Mercatino Giapponese!

Buongiorno a tutti! Essendo amante del Giappone e delle cose "kawaii", oggi vi vorrei parlare di "AMIGURUMI".

Gli Amigurumi (編みぐるみ = letteralmente "giocattoli lavorati all'uncinetto o a maglia) è un'arte giapponese di lavorare, all'uncinetto o a maglia, piccoli animaletti o creature antropomorfizzate. Il nome è la combinazione di due parole giapponesi: "Ami" che significa "lavorare a maglia o all'uncinetto, e "Nuigurumi" che significa "peluche". Non hanno un uso pratico; sono creati e collezionati per ragioni estetiche (kawaii).

Gli amigurumi sono solitamente realizzati all'uncinetto a maglia bassa con la tecnica della lavorazione in tondo, ma possono essere lavorati ai ferri. Gli uncinetti o i ferri utilizzati sono leggermente più piccoli della norma perché è necessario costruire una struttura che tenga ben stretta al suo interno l'imbottitura, solitamente formata da poliestere (fiberfill o imbottitura di cuscini), avanzi di filato in lana o bambagia; per lo stesso motivo i pupazzi sono generalmente realizzati in lana o in filato acrilico e non in cotone.

Nel 2011 due mie amiche amanti del Giappone, Jennifer e Michelle, hanno cominciato ad imparare a lavorare all'uncinetto facendo sciarpe, berretti e borsette. Nello stesso anno hanno scoperto gli "amigurumi".

I loro primi lavori erano dei piccoli pupazzi di peluche e charms per cellulari. Infatti Jenny mi regalò due pupazzi a forma di Totoro e Onigiri e un polipetto charm per il cellulare. :)

Ormai è da quasi due anni che si cimentano in questo hobby e hanno deciso di condividere la loro passione ad altre persone e anche di vendere i loro lavori. I loro prodotti sono "su richiesta". Oltre ai pupazzi, realizzano anche berretti, porta cellulari e cuscini personalizzati. Hanno un negozietto online, Secrets & Dreams, dove si possono vedere i loro lavori.

Domenica 20 ottobre, Jenny e Michelle parteciperanno per la prima volta come espositrici al "Mercatino Giapponese" che si tiene ogni mese presso il "Black Out" a Via Casilina 713, Roma.

Il mercatino sarà aperto al pubblico dalle ore 10 alle ore 20 e per l'occasione hanno creato un evento su facebook (clicca qui per l'evento).

BubbleMe

Oggi io e Giorgia siamo andate a vedere un nuovo locale dove vendono il “bubble tea”.

Data di Apertura: 18 Luglio 2013

si chiama "BubbleMe" e si trova a Via Borgo Pio, 176 - Roma.

E’ un locale delizioso e rilassante dove si possono gustare del tè freddo aromatizzato con vari gusti alla frutta, del frozen yogurt e dei biscotti tutto personalizzabili con dei bubbles alla frutta, toppings al cioccolato bianco/al latte/fondente, granella di nocciole, smarties, etc.

questi sono i “Bubbles” = sono delle palline con dello sciroppo alla frutta all’interno.

Già! si possono avere anche dei drink alcolici stile “cocktail”, sempre con bubbles ;)

il tablet è collegato direttamente alla pagina Facebook del locale.

Io e Giorgia abbiamo fatto conoscenza con Alfredo che era di turno ed è stato molto disponibile a raccontarci la storia del "BubbleMe"

è stato molto simpatico e gentile ;) infatti ci ha fatto anche assaggiare un nuovo bubble su cui stanno lavorando.

vi dico solo che è una BOMBAAAAAAA! :) mai vista dei bubbles di quel gusto!!!!!! ce l’hanno solo loro.

La cosa che mi è piacciuto in assoluto è il loro “packaging” molto originale e moderno.

per di più le cannucce sono sigilate in plastica prima di essere utilizzate. Così anche i cucchiaini per il frozen yogurt. Quindi tengono conto anche dell’igiene.

Sicuramente ci andrò molto spesso! ;)
